Club Fitting
Instrumental to our overall philosophy is that you must have equipment suited to you. This may mean lie angle, shaft type and flex, set make-up, loft, club aesthetics, grip type and size, club design, total weight, club length, and/or balance point. Club fitting is also contingent on your ability level, so we believe firmly in evaluating the state of your golf swing. In fact, “golf swing” and “club fitting” are nearly inseparable. In addition, integral to our fitting concept is that you are fit using our state-of-the-art launch monitor technology and that your equipment specifications are optimized as well as the golf ball that you use. We can match your clubs using swing weight readings, but more importantly, we will also match your equipment using moment of inertia (MOI) club matching.
What is MOI club matching?
In simple terms, most golfers have a favorite club or clubs in their set. This club most likely best matches the swing motion characteristics, physicality, and time signatures of the golfer. The theory is that every club in the bag should be built in a way that requires the same force to swing as the favorite club. MOI is simply the measurement of any objects resistance to being placed in motion. In contrast to swing weight matching, which does not make each club within the set “swingable” in terms of the same amount of force, MOI matching does.
Optional:
Moment-of-Inertia (MOI) Club-Matching
Note:
We also do swing weight matching but firmly believe that once you try MOI matching you will be converted. If you do not like your MOI clubs, we will convert them to swing weight matched clubs at no charge.
